"Good Mountain Boogie, Blues & More"

Almost 30 years ago Keith Yates the former owner Tobak Hous in Helen, was the master of ceremonies at a Helen pub during "open-stage night". Some of the musicians who came in to perform began to "jam" together and before long a bona fide band was formed.

Keith was the guitar player and lead vocalist with Ben Fried on the bass guitar, Lyle Lammers, lead guitar, Matt Lammers, percussion, and Tim Ragland on the drums.

After a 13 year break The Smith Crumley Band was reunited to perform at a Halloween shindig at Bernie's Restaurant & Nacoochee Valley Guest House's 17th Anniversary in Oct 2005. It took little decision to decide to get back together and play.
